ADELANTE Program*.

JUICE Entrepreneurial Program: A collaboration between numerous organizations lead to this program, including: Juxtopia, the organization out of Baltimore that runs this program; High Point High School, who helped with recruitment; and ResidentailONE/AHD Management who orchestrated the collaboration.

Previous Events

Resident Appreciation Day:

In August Carlos, Ivonne, and staff hosted another successful Resident Appreciation Day this year. About 120 residents attended and enjoyed games, activities and characters including: face painting, two moon bounces (always a big favorite for kids!), balloon toys and music. Carlos and staff also provided piñatas, gift cards, a clown and cartoon characters such as: Spider Man, Dora the Explorer, Olaf, Sponge Bob Square Pants, Mickey Mouse, Batman, and Ironman. New this year was a Zumba program, which the kids really enjoyed. Kids also enjoyed playing musical chairs and hula-hoops; and special gifts. There was a dance contest and the best dancers where given prizes. Management provided hot dogs, snow cones, popcorn, candy, chips, and sodas. A great time was had by all.

The Adelante Program:

(From the program coordinator:) During this reporting period, the Adelante program has not held any programming at the University Manor Community Center. The Adelante program is in its final phase of service delivery and is scheduled to end in January 2017. During this final phase the program has mainly met with participants for case management services within the community.

Summer Food Service Program continued until late August, serving about 10 kids a day.
